Registered Psychologist
Solutions for Change Psychology was founded out of a passion for helping individuals and communities navigate life's challenges with resilience and hope. Miriam Korman, our dedicated director, combines experiences from a diverse background ranging from the public health system and not-for-profit sector to private practice and occupational mental health. This diversity, coupled with a pragmatic and strengths-based approach, makes her capable of supporting clients with a wide range of issues and presentations, e.g. anxiety, depression, grief and loss, living with a disability, life transitions; as well as work and relationship issues.
Miriam Korman has a special interest in person-centered and strengths-based approaches to create change. Her fundamental belief, that clients are experts in their own lives, shines through in her future-focused, pragmatic, and non-judgmental curiosity about preferred futures and the unique ways people cope with hardship. Through her gentle questions and clinical expertise clients will notice that they already possess the skills and resources they need to move forward.
Miriam sees adults and adolescents (ages 15 and up) privately, with NDIS funding or under Medicare. She also enjoys working with families.
Miriam holds full registration with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi) and the Australasian Solution Focused Association (ASFA).
